nope. i have no idea what that is and by the way you say it, it's probably best that i don't know what it is. [!--emo&:lmao:--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/lol.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'lol.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

actually, i've heard one of their songs and it was terrible.

My Chemical Romance is a pretty damn good band....except for that ear piercing whiner they call a vocalist. But I can't find any influence from Maiden, except the fact of them making music, mabye.

The Misfits have a song called Helena, and it kicks major @$$!!! [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/headbang.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'headbang.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

My Chemical Romance are in Toronto, actually, and they're playing MuchMusic. I don't really like them, and the only reason I know is because my girlfriend's gone, and she really likes them.

A band can influence a band in more was than just musically. Take Iced Earth for eample. Kiss influenced John Schaffer to become a musician, yet maiden influenced them to be a Metal band. However in their music you hear all sorts of influences (reaping stone sounds very black sabath). I heard/read somewhere that Steve Harris is a big Jethro Tull fan but I don't hear any Jethro Tull in any of his songs.... Again many things than just the music can count as "influenced".

I've also heard that Deftones(who in my opinion are one of the worst bands out now) and The Offspring(who frickin' kick @$$) were also influenced by Iron Maiden. Ixnay On The Hombre foreva! A really good band influenced by Iron Maiden is, Children of Bodom. [!--emo&:)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/smile.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'smile.gif\' /][!--endemo--]
You guys should check them out, Alexi Laiho is one HELL of a guitarist.

Also, Opeth was influenced by them as well.

I think he was influenced by the way they constructed long multi-part songs, like "Aqualung" (moderately long, 6:33) or "Thick As A Brick" (43:36, now that's long).

Wow. Offspring socks. When you wore them, did all the girls say you were pretty fly for a white guy? [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Nope, the only ones to comment were the grannies. The kids aren't alright they said.

Usually when I mention The Offspring, people ask if I'm pyro....then I tell them The Meaning of Life...then I dance to Intermission...ahhhh...Intermisson...
