Hmm... time to think like a moderator.

On one hand, this site may interest some of our members. So despite breaking our rule about "don't register just to drive traffic to your site", I'll leave this thread alone - for now. (Further discussion among the mods may change that.)

On the other hand...

1. These "social network" sites are a dime a dozen. I looked around this new site a bit, and it offers nothing new or interesting. It's a waste of time and bandwidth. This site is a childish imitation of imeem, but with about one-tenth of the features and an ugly design.

2. "If you know more about Iron Maiden than us" ... Of course we do. We're Maidenfans, home of the IMC. Why the hell would we bother to update a page at this new site? The only update required would be "stop wasting your time at this site, and get your ass to the IMC".

So as you can tell, I find no redeeming qualities in the first post. I think it's spam, but I won't delete until the other mods weigh in. However, I do look forward to further opportunities to ridicule this poster and his lame website.

Hint to future spammers:
If you want to promote your music website here, try to at least have a semi-original idea or some vaguely interesting content.
 
It's obviously an advertisement. It's like I went over to http://www.playboy.com and told them to visit our site, even if nobody cares.

Blatant advertisements are against our forum rules, so I see no reason to keep this for anything other than entertainment value. Let's wait for Loosey's opinion, but in my opinion, this is worthless crap.

So, I say let's dump this advertisement.
 
An interesting tidbit for the non-moderators...

The mods usually discuss matter like this in our top-secret Mod-only forum. If you've ever wondered how the mod team makes decisions, you're witnessing it now.

(Sort of. The usual piles of vulgarity and secret plots to ban people we don't like are missing. :innocent: )
 
Tell you what, I'll give you my ex-wife (she is first born, and she mows lawns--take that way any way you want to)-- she could cook a kebob, but not well, so I'll throw in a coupon to Per's fav kebob place. 

I'll be happy to send you all the leftover out of date ST Louis beer that I can lay my hands on-- that'll probably be worth more than $400 ( i have a buddy at the warehouse)-- LC didn't specify type of beer.
 
I could get a hot Indian chick for you per and I can throw in a PS3 with NHL 09....So if me wasted and Invader go in on this we will split the day pass in to three (sorry Hunlord you said PS3 is lame so your not invited). 
 
I've already had fun with Per and Nush, so I don't need you and your lame PS3 loving ways. Its an experience that neither will be forgetting soon, I'm sure. I still have pictures.
