Seems like some amateurs were busy with Iron Maiden members on Wikipedia.
I found some mistakes,
concerning e.g. Dave Murray.:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Murray_%28musician%29
"David Michael Murray (born December 23, 1958 in England) is a founding guitarist in the legendary heavy metal band Iron Maiden. He has been with the band ever since their inception in 1976, and along with bassist Steve Harris, he is the only member to have stayed in the band since then."
Iron Maiden was founded in 1975, not 1976.
Dave was not one of the founders. There were other guitarists before he joined.
In the seventies he was asked to leave and later he returned, so he hasn't been with the band since he joined.
concerning e.g. Adrian Smith.:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adrian_Smith
"Smith departed from Iron Maiden in 1989"
He left in 1990, not 1989.
"After leaving Iron Maiden, Smith released a solo LP as the band ASAP (Adrian Smith Album Project) titled Silver and Gold in 1989."
This album was made and came out before he left Iron Maiden.
"He created the prog metal band Psycho Motel in 1996, and recorded two albums, State of Mind (1996) and Welcome to the World (1997)."
This kind of music is absolutely not prog metal, believe me. I am not sure how to call it, but I would think more of a "rhythm-guitar oriented rock, with a sauce of Alice in Chains on top of it." Since this is not "categorazible" in Wikipedia, it doesn't mean that some other term should be chosen out of the blue.
"In this band Zak Starkey (son of Ringo Starr) played drums."
Nonsense again. Starkey played on the ASAP record, not on the Psycho Motel albums.
Would any H-fanatic or Murray-admirorer be so good to get access to these fairytales and change some bits?
I have no clue how to do that, besides, I already spent some time to spot this crap. ;-)
