Hi all
I am thinking of going to see Iron Maiden in Moscow in February from Ottawa, Canada.
There is a way to get a super cheap vacation deal- although it is 11 days in Moscow.
Iron Maiden is playing the same week as the Aeroflot Open Chess Tournament. The tournament offers great travel packages from anywhere in the world because it is supported by Aeroflot. Every year a few people register in the tournament just to get the cheap deal but never show up to play their games. If you play chess it is a bonus.
The date of the packages and Chess tournament is Feb 7-18, 2011.
Package includes:
- Return Airfare to Moscow and all visas and transfers
- 11 nights accommodation at hotel "Gamma-Delta" in the "Ismailovo" Tourist Complex
- Registration in the chess tournament
Price is based on location and date purchased. Here are sample prices in Euro for a single room if purchased by mid-December:
Remember these prices include flight AND accommodation for 11 nights in Moscow!
From Package Price
EUROPE
London, UK 800 Euro
Paris 800 Euro
Rome 800 Euro
Germany 800 Euro
Greece 800 Euro
AMERICA
New York 1005 Euro
Washington 1005 Euro
Los Angeles 1005 Euro
FAR EAST

All you need now is Maiden tickets and something to do the other 10 days (if you don't play chess LOL).
Iron Maiden is playing at Olympiski only 12 KM from the hotel and chess tournament site.

PS These packages come up every year for the tournament. This year, Iron Maiden happens to be playing the same week as well!
