High On Fire restored my faith in heavy rock

I discovered this band a few months ago and it just kills. The first month of downloading all their material I couldn't listen anything else. Normally I listen music from 70's and 80's bands and some 90's here and there but never from the 00's beacuse I felt the quality from the later bands really did pale in comparation with the likes of Maiden, Priest, Megadeth, Purple, Sabbath, UFO, Rush, et all....

This band has been around all this decade and I am impressed still with their sound, an hybrid of Sabbath, Motorhead, Stoner, Thrash elements thrown in for good measure. Sometimes mora thrashy, some times more doom..... and the riffs, the tribal druming, the vocals (kind of Lemmy style but with less style!) make them the best 'new' (not exactly new but for me being from the 00's is very new) band I heard in ages.

What do you think of them? Im planning on buying all their albums, just five, but I just can find the latest which is great, Snakes for the Divine, but the best for me has to be Blessed Black Wings and Death is this Communion  :edmetal: amazing stuff, very heavy. The first album is more in the Stoner vein but is also very heavy, hipnotic and with killer riffs and murky production which is great for the vibe.

Some songs are repetitive but in a good way, you don't get tired of them because the quality of the riffs. Matt Pike (singer/guitarist) is a new riffmaster and a great soloist.

If any of you know some bands from the last decade with a sound like these ones don't hesitate on recommend Im all open ears after this  :yey:

thanks for the recommendation. I am not a real Power Metal fan  :innocent: I was looking something in the line of High on Fire or something old school but done in the last decade. Priestess is pretty good but a bit generic. Thanks again anyway  ;)
