Hell signed to the Belgian label Mausoleum Records, but two weeks prior to the recording of the album, the label collapsed. Kev Bower subsequently quit the band. He was briefly replaced by Shaun Kelley, though Hell split-up soon afterwards and led to the suicide of Dave Halliday by carbon monoxide poisoning.

Dave Halliday taught Andy Sneap of Sabbat to play guitar and Sneap mentions Hell as one of his main influences.

The remaining original members of Hell reunited in 2008 to finally record their album. Sabbat members Martin Walkyier and Andy Sneap agreed to play on the album to replicate Dave Halliday's vocals and guitar tracks respectively as Sneap also acted as the producer.

Walkyier later left the band to be replaced by Kev Bower's brother Dave (who is known as David Beckford in his career as a stage and television actor).

I was reminded of this band while checking out Judas Priest live videos with Andy Sneap.

Are they still gouing? Haven't heard anything in a while.

First record was great, second had some great stuff but some average stuff too

I didn't like them at first but after relistening today, I changed my mind. First off, while the songs on the debut were written like 25 years before release, they sound more modern and fresh than most of today's heavy metal. Then there are the live performances which look quite special. I've never seen a metal frontman sing with that clip-on microphone. Plus he's very entertaining, probably because of the theatre backgroun. I don't understand why Ghost made it big with that satanic theme when Hell has better lyrics, better stage choreography, better music, better vocals etc.
