WOW awesome trip the festival was great and the location was awesome to. The $500 weekend was well worth it!
The crowed went crazy for Maiden I was 10 feet away lined up with Nicko’s set the whole time and it was a battle to stay there. The crowed was, wild as soon as Churchill’s speech came on I didn’t get the chance to stand still it was so bad I had leg cramps when I went to bed(two of my buddies had to crowed surf out because of the heat and pushing and both are over 6 feet tall and fairly big). I’m sure there were a lot of pissed off people because it was so rough up front but the band seemed to like the energy. I think I liked this one more then the Toronto one just because the crowed was larger and I was so close. Bruce almost had a slip when he climbed up the pillars and it could have been very bad but luckily he was safe. There were huge fireworks during
Run to the Hills and an another song
off to the side that were planed by the city or someone other then Maiden/Heavy MTL because the band was looking over in surprise to. The only down side was Bruce spoke in French the whole time so I didn’t no what he said I just cheered .
Still the same songs as last time, doesn’t bother me they played more common ones it always feels good to hear 22 thousand people sing run to the hills or fear of the dark word for word!
Edit: Loosecannon how was the show for you and where did you stay for the night/s I was at the travel lodge?
Oh shit that sucks man hopefully you'll be able to see them sometime soon Bruce said somthing about an album and a tour coming back to Canada soon. I dont get way the cant go to Halifax Im sure they could sell a show out easily out there, I got in to an argument with some one about this before the show to.

Did you see a guy in a Mastodon t-shirt get hauled over the rail during
Revelations?
That was me, haha. It was extremely intense up front, glad to hear I wasn't the only one that had to get out of there. Anyway, I got to enjoy the rest of the show from a little ways off to the righthand side.

At Chicago, Bruce asked the crowd to all take one step backwards. Then he said something like "Oh, you are all pink. I thought for a while we were playing to a blue crowd."
I think I saw a guy in a Mastodon shirt but cant put a face on it to many people were going over the railing the whole show. It was most of the drunk assholes falling over every where that made it so hard for the first few songs but as soon as they got lifted out it was a little better.
@ PoM: Glad you enjoyed the show and did not miss the money.
I bet the sound was way better this time around. If IM comes to TO again, they'd better play the Molson Ampitheatre. Open venues are much better.

Thanks GK the sound was better for sure it was way Clearer and the cheer of the crowed didn’t muffle anything. I don’t think I saw a guy with a cast on but I saw some big guy yell at some one for throwing punches and crap the idiot didn’t do it again.
