Onhell
Infinite Dreamer
I wanted to post this yesterday on actual Halloween, however I had a busy night at work for a change.
Anyway, I thought it would be nice considering it WAS Halloween if we shared some creepy experience we've had in our lives. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, I'm sure we've all had some experience that has left us wondering and questioning our sanity. Here is my little story:
I was 12 years old and I went on a trip with my dad to Guadalajara to visit my uncle. On our last night at the hotel I woke up at about 2 am and noticed the bathroom light on and someone was playing with the faucet, turning it on and off. First I thought what the hell is my dad doing playing with the faucet at 2 am?. However as my grogginess disappeared I heard my dad snoring from the other bed and it took me 5 seconds for it to register. If my dad was in the next bed snoring... who was in the bathroom? Needless to say I did not venture to investigate. The next morning my dad asked me, "Hey what were you doing playing with the faucet so early in the morning?"
"I thought it was you." We both just laughed nervously, thanked God it was our last day there and headed to the airport. When he dropped me off at home that night (he no longer lived with us at that point) it was 1 am and I headed straight to my room. My brother and mom were already asleep and as I closed my bedroom door I noticed a shadow pass behind me from the corner of my eye. My first thought was a ghost! (A LOT of shit when down in that house, this is but one of many "incidents"), but I scolded myself for jumping to such a ridiculous conclusion and rationalized I was probably the source of such "shadow". So I opened and close the door again to verify if my movements were in fact to blame, did it once, twice, hell I even began to dance, but none of my movements matched the shadow I had seen. As I'm doing this I begin to hear scratching noises coming from my closet. Again I thought of some paranormal intruder, but since we've had mice before I thought of that next and walked over to the closet to catch the vermin. Now, our house had recently been remodeled adding an entire third floor to it, so certain things were not finished yet, one of them was my closet with the door closest to the entrance of the room not having any hinges and just being propped up. At any rate I went over to the closet as the scratching continued and I yanked the door open and yelled, "Aha! Gotcha!" only to find my shoes and nothing else and as soon as I did that the first door of the closet fell in. That was enough for me and I ran to my mom's room!
The next day I again scolded myself for being freaked out over something that was easily explainable. When I yanked the door opened the vibrations probably caused the door to fall in. So I propped it back up and recreated last nights events. Opening the closet door where the noises were coming from once, twice, three times, by the fifth time I was practically pulling it off its own hinges and the first door remained propped up... not once even swaying....
