Hello,
I am organising a fundraising event for a charity called Go Make It Happen. Go Make It Happen was set up in memory of my cousin, Sam Harding who was killed in a cycling accident on the 6th August 2011 (for more info http://www.islingtongazette.co.uk/news/ ... d_1_989302). Myself and my girlfriend had tickets to see Iron Maiden that night at the O2, and had arranged to meet up with Sam before the concert. Instead of attending the gig we found ourselves having to break the sad news to Sams girlfriend.
The fundraising event is on the 3rd December at the Harpenden Public Halls, Hertfordshire (5 mins walk from Harpenden Train station) and will consist of comedy, live music, a 2 course indian meal and an auction run by our after dinner speaker and special guest Ron "Chopper" Harris (Chelsea FC legend).
The reason I am posting this on an Iron Maiden forum is because Phantom management and Iron Maiden have donated a lot of fantastic items. Sams girlfriend knows one of the Phantom team and explained to them what had happened. They have kindly donated a signed copy of "The Final Frontier", a signed photograph, a limited edition double vinyl picture record of "Somewhere Back In Time" a 2011 tour shirt and 2011 workman's shirt. I thought some of the local Irons may be interested in these items.
Our comedian for the night is Mickey Pugh, and our music will be provided by Doog and The Chameleons who will be performing cover songs from all eras and genres. Tickets for the night are £30, although if you were to book a table (10 people) you will receive a 10% discount - therefore £270 per table.
