General Discussion Moderator Election

[Real World]

This thread is the beginning of an experiment for our forums. We need a moderator for the General Discussion and Maiden Chat forums here on Maidenfans. I want a moderator who can abide by the forum rules and set an example and whom visits these forums regularly enough to spot trouble and do something about it.
Moderators will be appointed on a three week trial. During this time their moderator actions will be watched closely. If they are performing a satisfactory job they will get the post for as long as they want it.
The first topic [this one] is for candidates to nominate THEMSELVES for the job. Please no off topic posts in this thread only post if you are nominating yourself for the job. You may not nominate anyone else.

Once a number of candidates have put their names forward we will open up a vote where members can vote for the next moderator.

I visit these boards every day and often reply to posts that i think i can add to. I might sometimes seem like a prat but i'd be more than willing to buck up my act if the position came to me. You should have moderator powers over the entire forum already? I thought I'd made you a global moderator ages ago.
And I dont plan to stop people voting for themselves but they can only do it once. I can also view who voted for what option and make sure people dont have multiple user accounts [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/wink.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'wink.gif\' /][!--endemo--]
