Forum's image/layout

I've only been a member of this forum for about a year and a week, so i don't really know about these thing yet, but does anyone know when was the last time the forum's image was changed?

One of the many things i love about this forum is how easy it is to use, but at the same time i feel some things image-wise could be changed, what do you guys think? Has anyone already thought about this?

Can someone tell what's wrong with the homepage / website itself? (not forum).
It looks abandoned ...or pretty close - links dont work, old info, ect.

I guess this is as good a place as any to ask about this.

I was scrolling through the new post pages, and there are ads between every 4-5 threads, sometimes more than that.

I closed a couple before realizing they're going to be on every page. Is there a way to get rid of this?
 
If you're using a computer then you can install ad blocking software for your browser, but the Mods don't want me to tell you that.

If you're using mobile then you're on your own.
