Finally. An introduction and then my top 50 (eventually)

I've been following this board for over a year and didn't post. Finally I got the gumption to reset my password and post. You see I orginally thought I was rejected but I just didn't know that I actually got accepted until I noticed my email address was listed as a user. So now I'm in. Ok

First, I've been a Maiden fan since 1987 when Somewhere in time came out. I'm 41 years old and have seen about 6 or 7 tours. My first was the SSOSS tour where I had the please of hearing Infinite Dreams it's one and only time (live that is for me). To give you a hint, that is one of my top 50 let's see where it lies when I start my countdown. I am going to 2 Maiden shows this tour (New York area that is where I'm from) and I'm really pyched. Anyway. Just so you don't think I'm a renegade. I've read the top fifty from Tron to Forostar. I used to be tkmaiden from the IM free board and noticed that Travis from here was there under the name of Fonzbear2000. I only posted like 10 times before they took it down. Never joined the real club.

Ok, Introduction done. Time to get to the list. I will post this list after I mention here my honorable mentions. This is NOT a ranking until I get to the list. The songs I'm going to post now are just the first ones that pop into my head.

Como Estas Amigo...........

How are you my friend.

I love this song. To me this is one of Blaze's best vocal perfomances on the album, even better than another song that will be mentioned in my top 50. Delicate yet power full, moving yet not too sappy. I also like the part after the chorus which in a future thread I will compare to Afraid to Shoot Strangers and other songs. You know the part I'm talking about. If you think about it, you would never think it was a Maiden tune until you heard that part.

Nomad.................

The rider so myterious. Isn't that somones tag here. Thank you for helping understand a lyric I didn't get at first. I can't believe I'm putting this outside my top 50 but maybe I'll have to take a hard look at the end of my list. The first thing I thought of when I heard this song was Metallica's "Disappear" which I love and thought; THIS IS BETTER. That riff is so infectious and Bruce does a great job on the chorus. Of course who could forget the midsection. INCREADABLE. Love the slow picking parts. Atmoshperic to boot. Definite Asian. Mideastern feel.

Last one for now and I'll be BACK...........

The Man who would be King...................

Great inro by Dave. Slow and cool. Bridge to the midsection fits, very ordinary but somehow the tonality of the guitars is very goastly which I like. Then, THE MIDSECTION. I don't know about you but for me this is the most outside the box thing they've ever done. Yet it's still Maiden. Specifically love the part after the initial rythm that has the twin guitars playing harmony in a kind of pychodelic way. Of course there is the end too. Delicate again, and pychodelic too.

Done now. I've got maybe a few more honorable mentions before I start my list.
