Final Frontier Vinyl

Hi everyone.

Since a typical picture disc's does not sound as good as regular vinyl, how does the Final Fronter sound to those who have purhased it? Also, do you think they will repress some of the older albums on 180 gram vinyl?

Do you mean that a cd doesn't sound as good as vinyl? And are you asking if the cd version of TFF is decent sonically?

I'd say 'yes', it sounds just fine.  The thing is, vinyl has the ability to sound better than a cd, but the hardware to reproduce that sound is expensive.  So, a cd works just fine.

And I haven't heard anything about any more vinyl coming out.

He's not talking about CDs, he's talking about picture disc vinyls, and traditionally those don't sound nearly as good in quality as black vinyl, particularly 180 gram, hell, colored vinyl also have been known to be inferior. I don't know why they keep putting out new Maiden stuff on picture disc though, guess they figure people will mainly use them as collector's items, us audiophiles be damned.

Also, I have a jerry rigged set up for my 100 dollar turntable and it still blows away the sound of a CD, not all that expensive actually.

OH, I understand.  I haven't seen anything like that in years, didn't realize they made that.  Shows what I know!

Could somebody who has the vinyl edition post some pictures of front and back of the two picture discs, please?
