Is it any coincidence that Queen Elizabeth II timed her tour of Canada with Iron Maiden's? I think not.  ;)

I saw the Queen here in Ottawa on Canada Day. I'll be seeing Iron Maiden tomorrow in Ottawa and the next night in Montreal!

Queen Elizabeth went to many of the same cities as Iron Maiden, including Ottawa, Toronto and Winnipeg.

I'll be at bluesfest tonight seeing them too, dude!

I'm so jacked. Been looking forward to this since they announced it. It'll be my first time seeing Maiden (been a fan since 2006).

That's awesome! Enjoy the show. My first Iron Maiden show was Winnipeg in 1984 for the World Slavery Tour (with Twisted Sister!).

One of my favourite shows was the last 7th Son of a 7th Son Tour show at Hammersmith Odeon with The Killer Dwarfs opening. The Dwarfs were awesome and had a couple of cream pie fights with the Maiden boys during both their set and Maiden's. The dwarfs all ran out and danced around a miniature Stonehenge during "SSOASS".

Bruce even changed the "7th Son of a 7th Son" monologue...

"Today there was born a Killer Dwarf... into the audience with the Killer Dwarf". And with that, Bruce picked up one of the dwarfs and tossed him into the crowd. "Are you alright, Killer Dwarf?"

Nice! I'm in pretty much the exact same boat, first Maiden show tonight and I can't wait; UP THE IRONS!

And this thread is win. Clearly the Queen is a Maiden fan.
 
Remembering the Queen movie from a few years ago ... and imagining Helen Mirren dressed up as the Queen throwing the horns to "The Trooper".

Excuse me, I've got to go find 2 girls and 1 cup, I don't want the image of the fucking Queen in my head. :innocent:
