It's the last day of the year. So, what did you think of it?

For me, it was a very eventfull year. Many concerts, many exams, many changes in my love-life (or more-likely, lack-of-love-life [!--emo&:P--]/tongue.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'tongue.gif\' /][!--endemo--] )

I saw my favourite romanian band (Phoenix) twice, i saw Apocalyptica, i got autographs from both bands, I saw Luna Amara twice, got their autographs as well.[!--emo&:D--]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

On a more socio-economico-politicall point of view, it was a dissapointment. Our new gouvermnet and president don't seem much better then their predecessors', and our country was hit by the worst floods in at least 2 decades...

Many good albums were released, I've found some good bands this year, met some cool people. For me, it was a good year.

December seems to have been the most eventfull month for me, but not in a good way.

I hope that for all of you, the coming year will be better than the one we're just about to part...

Music side of things: Great

And everything else: Terrible

If I could turn on the news and hear no suffering or disaster or death once in a while, it would make me happy.

At least England won the Ashes.

It had its ups and downs. A lot of great music came out of the year -albums by Demons&Wizards, Bruce Dickinson, Judas Priest, Nevermore and others- some good films.

Personally, it was a difficult year. While I gained some new friends, I also suffered some losses, and it was a very turbulent year emotionally, and most of the time it was very painful. When I look back at it, I am happy about some things I did and completely speechless (in the negative sense of the word) about some others.

Whether it was a good year or not for me is a question I'd rather answer in a couple of years.

I might write a more detailed review of the year and an outlook for 2006 later on.

Tell me about it. I was watching Total Recall 2005 on TV today, and yep, you guessed it. It was all about disasters, murders and the usual. Talk about highlights. [!--emo&--]/rolleyes.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'rolleyes.gif\' /][!--endemo--] But then again you know what they say "if it bleeds, it leads".

On a lighter note, it sounds like metalboyken had a great 2005, all the better for him, happy new year mate. [!--emo&;)--]/wink.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'wink.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

I have to agree with metalboyken, I had a great year and I can't think of any "bad" things that happened to me this year... looking forward to 2006

Very shitty year.

Good things:
-Discovered a bunch of great bands
-Became alot better at guitar
-Did some hilarious things

Bad things:
-Lost alot of friends
-Moved halfway across the country
-Had multiple disagreements with my lover
-Felt alot of jelousy
-Left behind all my family
-Got ridiculed against
-Didnt play hockey
-Got a 2 month long hip injury

Edit: 2006 just started on a shitty note, my gf made out with other girls at 12, and didnt even bother with kissing me or anything.

after 2004, which was probaly the best year of my life (Pumas de la UNAM, my beloved football team won both championchips that year, they beat Real Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu, etc. I had a blast with my friends party after party, I saw DIO on the first metalfest ever to be host in the horrible town I live in, I traveled a lot...), it was very diffucult for the 2005 to outrun it. So, obviously, it wasn't that good, but it wasn't bad at all.

Many things happened to me and my people (friends): I finally moved out of my parent's house (its not so common over here as it is in other countries to do so if you are not married) and finally found freedom, I went to a judas priest gig and a pearl jam gig too. three of my closet friends got married (two of them married each other), I traveled, not too much, but I did. I was kicked out of my job because of the way I think and because I wear long hair, but found a better one, and I can keep my believes and hair (hahaha, take that, assholes! is what I thought). The bad thing is that this year I didn't read as much as I usually do. oh, and I got the best present ever, the enciclopedia of the wars of the 20th century.

for next year, I really don't have many expectations. I just hope Mexico makes a good job in the world cup and that the leftist party PRD wins the elections.

right now it's 23:05 hrs over here. It's the first new year I spend compleately alone! well, happy new year everybody.

2005 has been great for me since Lord Robert Plant released a wonderful new studio [a href=\'http://forum.maidenfans.com/index.php?showtopic=8053\' target=\'_blank\']album[/a]. Nothing else matters...
Cheers

New Years' Eve was a blast!!! IF things stay half as cool as they were last night, this year's gonna be perfect...

2005 ended the way it started : with bad news... We learned that my uncle had cancer and one of his sister(my aunt) died from that disease 3 weeks before... At the party yesterday (january 1) he said that he might not make it... really sucks... [!--emo&:(--]/sad.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'sad.gif\' /][!--endemo--] My fater had a car crashe 2 or 3 days before chrismas. He wasn't injured but the car is totaly wrecked.

On the music side of things, I couldn't get tickets for the Maiden gig in Quebec City. I was really pissed but I'm sure I'll get to see them at least another time [!--emo&:)--]/smile.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'smile.gif\' /][!--endemo--] .

But on the good side of things, I got a brand new(used) car. It's way better than that old van I used to drive [!--emo&:D--]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--] . I finally completed my DEC and I started university. Now, if I could only get that damn scholarship(?).

That's what happened to me last year. I'm sure I have forgotten some things but it's probably not that interesting anyway.

Last year was good. I made new friends, got a girlfriend, got my band running properly, played a few gigs both with my band and by myself doing comedy dance music... nothing bad really happened in 2005.

2006 should be just as good! Already have a few gigs sorted for the new year and have a possible record label contract for myself on the cards as well. Also this year I finish college and enter the amazing world of work!

2005 wasn't too hot for me, I had a lazy year at school and my social life now merely involves checking this forum for new posts every 5 minutes [!--emo&:P--]/tongue.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'tongue.gif\' /][!--endemo--]
Musically, there weren't many highlights in 2005 for me except Children of Bodom's EP and album. Bruce and Megadeth had good new albums and that was about it.

2006 should be a great year with Queensryche, DragonForce, Maiden and a couple of more anticipated albums planned (the DotR dvd also!)
