Keeping an open eye on the Weeping Angels.
The Timelord returns to the UK TV screens from next Saturday.

So who's looking forward to it?

Are we all not big kids at heart? Perpetually holding on to our youth and any iconic figure we may have endeared in the past? ::

But if you're still in your teens.....

the last series was 'OK' . Not great but watchable. I prefered life on mars. But I still plan on watching the new series.

That is one series that really intrigued me but I never got round to watching it. I really should.

I'll watch it if I'm about on Saturday night, which i doubt.

Tom Baker was the man!

I don't know, I'm quite partial to Jon Pertwee (3rd Dr) and Willim Hartnell (1st Dr)

Tom was good, 'Till he became a bit of an arse about the role. [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":P\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /]

The new one so far hasn't done much for me, It's seems to be repaeting alot of the flaws, That plagued the mid 80's Colin Baker (6th Dr) era....Garish overlit sets and a quite agressive doctor.

Re: Dr Who!

Apologies for bumping this thread, but I have my reasons.

I watched the latest Dr Who episode last night and it featured the Cyber Men (human brain in a metallic exoskeleton). Towards the end of the episode we see an army of Cyber Men marching rhythmically towards where the Doctor is – bear with me here.

Now, the sound of the marching Cyber Men reminded me of the metallic marching sound found on Priests "Metal Gods". In turn this reminded me of the documentary I saw on the making of British Steel. In this documentary (if you've not seen it) explained how this sound effect was created – in short, they (Priest, Tom Allom, et al) were recording this album in Ringo Starr's mansion. In one of Ringo's kitchen drawers they found a wooden cutlery tray with, as you would guess, cutlery in it. Tom Allom (I believe it was him) would shake this up and down to create the desired metallic sound which is what you hear towards the end of Metal Gods.

For years of listening to this I would picture this parade of Metal Gods marching along, since watching the 'Making Of..' all I can think of is a wooden cutlery tray......

Just thought I'd share that with you.
