I remember there was some publicity around it and that week I checked all the cinema listings, but it never came. I was recently wondering if anyone was actually able to go to a cinema and see Maiden n the big screen. If so, where? If it never happened, what was the announcement all about!

I think s/he's referring to a Maiden concert being shown in local cinemas on the night of the concert.  To answer sexpod's question, no.

Sexpod could mean either Rock in Rio or Death on the Road in terms of concerts (I seem to recall hearing that Nightwish's latest DVD was aired in certain cinemas in Finland), but I think it's more likely s/he is talking about a feature-length documentary such as The Early Days (I believe Metallica's 'Some Kind of Monster' was viewed in certain cinemas, as was 'Metal: A Headbanger's Journey'.

YEs, actually it was Death On The Road. I saw a news report in the newspaper saying it will actually be in the theatres. Then I looked and checked and ... nothing!?!? So I guess the report was fake or just marketing hype since no one else seems to have found it in the cinema either!!?? - Anna

I heard nothing about that, and I'm quite updated with cinema news.

I found some more information, although it seems only connaisurs and diehards would have gotten access: http://www.modernguitars.com/archives/001594.html (scroll to the bottom)
