This is a Survivor game. Vote for the song(s) that should be eliminated in this round. You get three votes.

As we progress the best songs are left standing. Each round is 2 days long. The top ten songs from this series will proceed to the next series, where they compete against the songs from the next album.

Eventually we'll have an overall top 10, and then we'll eliminate those songs one by one until only The Best Deep Purple (Mark II) Song survives.

No MK I, SMX?  Pour quois?  I know you don't consider their first three albums to be worthy, but even you admitted 'April' is a great song.  Also, judging by the thread title, may we assume that this Survivor is going to include only the MK II line-up?

Actually, I'm a fan of Mark I, as well as the current lineup. But let's face it: if we did all Purple albums, the final top ten would be dominated by Mark II songs anyway. This cuts out the rounds which would be of interest to few people, without much (if any) effect on the final result.
