I recently bough my 3-disc set of Death on the Road and not only is it an absolutely AMAZING show (me having been one of the unfortunate souls that wasnt able to see one of Maidens limited Death on the Road gigs), but the DVD seems to work just fine.
The 5.1 sound, at times, gets a tad low during a song or two, but then picks back up a couple seconds later. Not a big deal as even Rock in Rio does that as well.
I must admit, however, that my DVD player is able to play ANY region (my copy of DotR is coded 0 I believe), so maybe others are having problems with different country coded DVDs.
But either way this is, so far, my favorite Maiden show EVER!!! (And, let me tell you, Ive seen em ALL (with the exception of Virtual XI and Ed Hunter, but that was only because Maiden cancelled each of those shows
Bummer, man!) LOL
And, let me say that, after several viewings of DotR I still get that jealous feeling of all of those that actually got a chance to see DotR live.
BASTARDS!!! LOL
But, to get back on topic, pick up DotR if you see it. It's well worth the price of admission!
