Christmas music

Hey guys!  Like Wasted (last year),  I too am a geek and loved the metal xmas (the one with Dio, Ripper,  Lemmy etc)  album.  So what I'd like to know is,  whether you guys have any suggestions for similar stuff?  It doesn't necessarily have to be metal versions,  I'll go for other stuff too.  :D

Get the Twisted Sister Xmas album (A Twisted Christmas).

"O Come All Ye Faithful" sung to the tune of "We're Not Gonna Take It", and new metal-version lyrics for "The 12 Days Of Christmas". My favorite, though, is "Deck The Halls" - they really rock it.

Edit: check out the youtube!
And check out Mark Mendoza's bass playing ... one of the most underrated bassists in metal.

If you like instrumental stuff, there is "Merry Axemas"  vol I and II, which feature some fav guitarists doing xmas tunes (Joe Perry, Steve Vai, Alex Lifeson, Zakk Wyld, Satriani, Morse, Nugent, and many more).  Also, there is Monster Ballads Xmas, which is more 'Hair Metal' with Dokken, Danger Danger, Queensryche, LA Guns, Firehouse, etc.

That is the main stuff that I have 'metal' wise.
Oh, just saw the last bit about not having to be metal-- have you tried Mannheim Steamroller?  or Trans-Siberian Orchestra?  I have some albums of both.

I personally prefer Halford's "Winter Songs" over Twisted Sister's Xmas album. Not just because I'm a huge Halford fan but because I think it has more hooks and overall better instrumentation than A Twisted Christmas.

Here's the "Holy Night" ballad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LE0KgasAaLM

And Wasted: Merry Axemas volume 2 is really kickass stuff. Neil Schon plays some sweet licks.

Thanks guys for the recommendations,  those samples were great ;D.  I'm also going to check out Bob Dylan's new Christmas album.

Yeah, it took me forever to get my hands on that one!  I had Vol I for a long time, and just got II a couple xmas' back.

I would really recommend some Trans-Siberian Orchestra such as Christmas Eve and Other Stories. Not bad stuff. :)

Jethro Tull released a Christmas album a few years back, I think.
