After the departure of their original guitarist Alexander Kuoppala, the group have enlisted the duties of Roope Latvala (Sinergy, ex-Stone) this past month. Their bassist Henkka T Blacksmith recently checked in with the following report surrounding their search for a new guitarist. "When Alexander left the band we were left in a difficult situation. How to keep on going... We have so many shows already booked and fans waiting to see us in new places. Even though there are a lot of guitarists in this world, we had to make sure that the whole crew and touring party will get along with each other, otherwise touring will turn out to be really hard and uncomfortable.
We felt really relieved when Roope Latvala said he could help us out. After dealing with many problems, meetings and moments of frustration we now have a good friend and a skillful guitarist in this crew to make it until the end of this year and throughout this tour. Roope's debut took place in Moscow and everything seems to be going very well, thanks to hard work from everyone of us, but especially to the effort that Roope has put in this!!!
We are looking forward to get on the road with this new crew, see you in your town!!!”
Look for CHILDREN OF BODOM to embark on their first U.S. tour with Dimmu Borgir, Nevermore and Hypocrisy this November. Their fourth full-length album, Hate Crew Deathroll, is set for a September 23rd release.
