Canada Votes, 2008

And I thought this was gonna be about something semi-important like the upcoming elections.  In this case, I gotta think hard.

Congrats!

All my voting effort went into economics.  The good news is that, the stock market rebounded a significant amount.  Just let it be and it'll get back to the previous level.

I voted for Elizabeth May, only to see her still lose to Peter MacKay.  Assballs.

The Green Party has no parliamentary seats.  It must be nice to live in a riding of two very famous Canadian politicians (May and MacKay).  That kind of sounds cute when pronounced together.  Too bad, they're on opposite ends.

In my city's 7 ridings, 4 of them were PC and 3 NDP.  During the Chretien years, the whole city was a sea of red, including our Mayor.  How times change.  Not that I'm mourning this.  Ever since the end of the Chretien's second term, I've been unhappy with the Liberals.

It seems Harper will go with a similar "plan to make plans" as Dion has promised to do if elected.

It's interesting to live here, anyway.  Peter MacKay is a dynamo.  Elizabeth fought him hard and still got shellacked in the end.  I'm from the riding that Bill Casey represents, too, so I know that fairly famous Canadian politician as well.
