Ive been listening to Maiden for a while now and am looking to find some more music that i will enjoy. I'm a bit low on cash so i cant just buy records till i find what i like. Ive tried some Zeppelin, Deep Purple Judas Priest but they werent really my thing. My favourite IM songs are Blood Brothers Dance Of Death(the more melodic songs). I just need to know where to start expanding my collection.(Don't like heavy stuff) And which albums to start on.

Hmm..that's a bit tricky.  Well, if you don't like Priest, that narrows your choices a bit, but I would try out Helloween and Gamma Ray.  Both sound very similar (Kai Hansen of Gamma Ray was the guitarist for Helloween), and are good, melodic speed/power metal (without being too cheesy).  I would recommend 'Keeper of the Seven Keys Pt. 2' as a good Helloween album, and 'Land of the Free' for Gamma Ray.  Of course, these may not be to your liking, so I would advise you try and download them with a Torrent engine such as BitLord.  If you like them, buy them, if not, delete them...that's what I do with new bands, anyway.  Other than that, I can't think of many bands that you may like, if you don't like stuff that's too heavy.  Perhaps if you give us a list of what you're looking for in a band, we can help you further?

I was in your position some time ago.  I also tried some of the bands you mentioned,  they didn't impress me.  I'd recommend Helloween's The Dark Ride.  There are some heavy songs,  but I think you won't regret it.  Try Guns N' Roses too,  I'd recommend the greatest hits.

Maybe Europe could be something for you?
Their singer Joey Tempest has a great voice, or at least he  had during the 80-ies and early 90-ies.
The new stuff they released a year or two ago wasn´t anywhere near their old stuff (IMO). :)

I don't know if the Dark Ride is a good album to start with, It's good, but Keeper Pt. 2 is definately a place to start. Kamelot is not too heavy, Epica is a good album to start with. Sonata Artctica etc. If you like "melodic" stuff, then power metal and prog is the way to go. Dream Theater and Symphony X are great bands too.
