BLACKMORE'S NIGHT singer Candice Night recently posted the following message to her official web site:

"We do have just 2 dates right now booked for the US. One in New York and one in Pennsylvania on September 17th and 19th. The new album 'Ghost of a Rose' is due out on August 26th and then we are looking into some more dates in the U.S. either at the end of the year or the beginning of next year. It becomes kind of difficult in the U.S. because the promoters are so taken by what is being played on the radio. It would be easy to play rock venues because of [BLACKMORE'S NIGHT guitarist] Ritchie [Blackmore]'s past, but we want to be booked in theaters so that it makes is special for the people who come to see us. We want to try to transport them to another time and place...to create a bit of magic, which is difficult to do in a rock venue. So, we don't look for the easy way out — we strive for something better. Unfortunately, that puts some promoters off. It is a shame, really because there are so many places in the U.S. we'd love to play. The funny thing is, there are so many fans asking when we are going to play in the US and we are looking forward to it — it always seems to be those narrow minded people making the decisions that stand between us."

"Ghost Of A Rose", due in the U.S on August 26 through SPV/Steamhammer Records, features former DEEP PURPLE/RAINBOW guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and his companion Candice Night alongside the following guest musicians: Lady Nancy and Lady Madeline (harmony vocals on "Ghost Of A Rose" and "Way To Mandalay"), Bard David of Larchmont (backing vocals on "All For One"), Pat Regan and Minstrel Hall Consort (keyboards), Tim Cotov (backing vocals on "All For One"), Lord Marnen of Wolfhurst (violin), Mike Sorrentino (drums, percussion), and Sir Robert of Normandie (bass).
