Anyhoo…

The Megadeth track has a better main riff and verse, and a better instrumental section. I also dig the callbacks to “Skull Beneath The Skin”.

That said, the Ellefson-Soto song is no slouch, with far better vocals, a strong instrumental section and pre-chorus, and an absolutely sublime chorus.

This is actually really close overall, and I could probably go either way — but that killer chorus in “Celebrity Trash” is enough to tip it in the challengers’ direction for me. Winner: Ellefson-Soto
