I voted for Murders in the Rue Morgue a song that I really appreciated when I saw it live in 2005 early days tour

that was awesome !! everyone's waiting for wrathchild to come after the ides of March, and we get this one !!

it's strange, I was listening this song for 20 years almost (I got my first cassette Killers in 1987 I think), and never got impressed ....and then, I saw it live and fall in love !!

Charlotte the Harlot, 22 Acacia Avenue and Montségur get very close though

This choice wasn't so hard for me. The Clairvoyant has got it all and is also part of my favourite album.

Murders, Deja Vu and Montsegur are not far behind, but they are.

My vote goes to The Clairvoyant. Musically and lyrically it's a unique experience like almost everything on Seventh Son.
Monstegur vomes in a close second for sheer heaviness.

About half the English language comes from French. Most words of apparent Latin origin actually came to English via French.

It has something to do with Billy the Fat Bastard William the Conqueror taking over England. Seems he brought his language with him. Managed to teach it to the local yokels between meals, battles and more meals.

My point is, it's likely that the vast majority of Maiden song titles have some derivation from French, if you actually dug into the etymology.

I'm not sure I think it comes from a language closer to Dutch than French -Flamande language

Anyway, if someone has etymologic suggestions, I would be very glad to hear them

Considering the way Paschendale is spelled on maps and in encyclopedias (Passchendaele) and that the village of Passendale is located in the Flanders region, it has to be Flemish.

The Clairvoyant, great song, love the bass intro and the way the songs builds up during the verses, the live versions are class as well.
