Anyone got any idea when Maiden start playing at Sonisphere UK?

I've tried digging around the sonisphere website, but nothing's come up.

I don't have a smartphone, so the mobile app's out.

The sole reason why i'm going to Sonisphere is to see Maiden live.

There's a catch: There is too much stuff i don't want to see.

So i want to know, when are Maiden supposed to start playing at Sonisphere UK on sunday?

They'll most likely start around 9 or 9:15 PM, as they do everywhere else in Europe. Be there at 8:30 just to be sure.

:wtf: A festival that starts in 1 day and they don't list the times the bands start?

Yep. Technically Maiden's playing on Sunday, but even so, It's still cutting it extremely fine. Plus there are still no times for the bands on friday.

And i think i might take Ranko's advice and show up at 8:30 if i don't hear anything.

Maiden's the only band i want to see at Sonisphere anyway.

I don't want to endure those shitty death metal bands and their dumbass fans.

/\ And that is exactly why i want to know precisely when Maiden starts playing. Get in, see the best band in the world, and avoid "shitty death metal bands and their dumbass fans"

I would think that once you get to the festival, there would be a schedule of times for all the bands, but I can understand that you don't want to risk it.

There is just too much rubbish on that day to go for any other band. I'm not really a slayer fan, and some of the bands there shouldn't be near a metal festival, IMO.

This is probably going to be the only decent festival i get for a very long time, and i want to make the most of it.

That, and the aspie in me wants to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Avoid "shitty death metal bands and their dumbass fans"?

What a nonsense. Metal fans (no matter which subgenre) are generally cool and open minded people, compared to fans of some other music genres. No need to be so prejudiced, or scared.

OK, bad example made. I apologise.

It's just that i want to get in, see maiden, and get out again, and preferably before the masses bung up everything within 10 miles. I didn't buy the ticket to see Slayer, or Alice in Chains, and certainly not Pendulum.

It's not the concert that i'm really worried about, it's the natives. Stevanage can be described in 2 four letter words: Shit-hole. As Maiden seems to be the last thing playing all weekend, the only forseeable way out is the shuttle bus to the station.
