Awesome band! Definitely deserves a thread of it's own.

Their first two albums: Alice In Hell and Never, Neverland are stone-cold classics in the Thrash sub-genre. Third album Set The World On Fire is more in the lines of Metallica/Countdown To Extinction in terms of accessibility and appeal. King Of The Kill, Refresh The Demon and Remains have slight experimentation with Groove metal, though still maintaining technicalities. Criteria For A Black Widow has return of the Alice In Hell era lineup hence back to roots approach. Later albums again have that classic Thrash sound with modern production values. Dave Padden joined as a good addition on vocals/guitar during early 2000s/10s but then left. Total 17 studio albums as of yet with highly changing lineups throughout.

The band founder and only constant member, Jeff Waters, is a very good guitarist (and a bassist as well, having played in many of their albums!) and has often been called "Eddie Van Halen of Thrash metal". He is said to have "ghost-written" many popular/country songs (and yet his own band is somehow underrated, LOL) and has been offered to join Megadeth a few times, but declined each time. While Jeff has also done vocals on many of their albums, recently Stu Block (Iced Earth) joined them on vocals which I think is awesome and since a new album is in works I wonder if it will be him or Jeff doing the vocals.

Thrash metal is a subgenre of heavy metal that is characterized by its fast tempo and aggression.

Jeff Waters appears to be indulged in a lot of solo stuff plus the band will perform full 'Alice In Hell' album on it's 35th anniversary.
