A Whim and a Prayer

I can't even tell you why the album attracted me, because I hadn't heard much from Iron Maiden when I picked up Live After Death sometime in 1987.  But i picked it up, and I was easily blown away at how awesome it sounded, and I've been a Maiden Fan ever since.

Incidentally, I had the same experience with Iced Earth and Alive In Athens just over a decade later, although they've been nowhere near as consistent since then while Maiden has only gotten better.
