2328 years ago today (June 10) Alexander the Great, whose name struck fear into the hearts of men, died of fever in Babylon.

He was in Babylon because is troops wouldn't follow him to India.* It had something to do with being tired of the combat, pain, and the glory.

That is all.



*(Note: His troops actually DID follow him to India. One of the rare fuck-ups in Maiden's historical songs.)
 
And was he really a legend 'mongst mortal men, or did it come later?
 
that was later.
It was because he spread Hellenism far and wide, and their culture was a western way of life.

In many ways, he paved the way for Christianity.
