A band like Maiden

Hello mates !
I just heard a couple of songs of this Canadian metal band, [a href=\'http://www.3inchesofblood.com\' target=\'_blank\']3 Inches of Blood[/a] , and I've found them pretty good. They've got this old/pure/great metal, that made their songs, and especially, "Deadly Sinners" quite powerful, heavy and great.
Then, I realized that they sound, in many ways, like Iron Maiden : The solos, the guitars, the drums, the lyrics, and much of the song's skeleton in its self.

I just discovered this band, and I fucking love it! My friend had me listen to it, because he knows Im a huge Maiden fan. 3 Inches of Blood is phenominal. Axes of Evil, Deadly Sinners, and Destroy the Orcs are my favorite songs. Help support these guys and buy the album Advance and Vanquish, its fucking great!

3 Inches Of Blood are magnificent... One of my fondest memories of my pal Mike are of him standing on the top of the railings of the ol' drinking bridge... fist in air.. belting out "Deadly Sinner" at the top of his lungs... yes, those days were magic.
 
Their image is really funny too! They play powery metal and their cd covers look like power metal cd covers. But the band themselves look like Linkin Park! Doesn't praticularly look like Jeff Daniels, but if you say so. What's with the one with Emo glasses? They don't look like i'd expect them to.
 
Who cares how they dress, those guys fucking rock!!! Advance and Vanquish is one of the greatest albums of the last two decades easily.
 
Yeah, its not as though their image matters, its the music really. I'm just suprised that they look nothing like i'd expect.
 
I would say their choice of lyrics is the thing they have most in common. # Inches has higher vocals, and the instrumentrals is more heavy/fast.
 
Their lyrics are more like ManOwaR... they even use a few lines you'd hear in any ManOwaR... or power metal song, for that matter. The vocals always kind of reminded me of King Diamond.
 
What I do find in common are the lyrics (Harris style), the drums especially on the Rev. is a Vul. song, and finally the guitars, with the different changes in the song.
In general, it has something very particular that sounds like Maiden, but I can't really discribe it ! [!--emo&:)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/smile.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'smile.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Well, just bought Advance and Vanquish today, and let me tell you..it's fucking blinding. So much infact, that I decided to pick up a wallpaper for myself to use. When I went to their site, I found some shit wallpapers, so I took one of them and well..re did it. (You all probably know me as the wallpaper guy, anyway.
