7th Son of a 7th Son

Priest of the Holy Wristband
I've just watched this movie trailer, about a seventh son of a seventh son. This is purely anecdotal, but I thought it was worth posting.

I was just listening to the album yesterday. It was the first time I heard the full album from start to finish. There were even a couple songs I hadn't even heard. Moonchild was really cool.

I know people list it, or used to list 7th Son as Maiden's 'progressive' album. At the time of it's release, yeah, it was their most progressive album. But with XFactor and all the albums since, it's no more their most progressive album. I'm starting to see that I love Maiden most when there are 3 guitarists in the band.

NotePad, most of the people who were listening to 7th Son at the time had started with the very first albums. I did discover Maiden with Killers. So 7th was a kind of very adventurous album in an unexpected direction, although some of their previous stuff did prepare us for that. I don't know if it was really labelled "progressive" : for me, the term can only apply to Infinite Dreams and the title track. Can I play, The Evil or even Moonchild cannot be said to be progressive (?)

Well I'm not even certain the the definition of "Progressive" is. People have different understandings of the term. I'm thinking more 'progressive', not 'prog'. But that's a whole other argument ;p

Can I Play With Madness is such a great song. Has a different sound from the guys.
