Since Mav havn't created a topic for this show (and not even the first night either) I'll do it. You know the drill people. Spoilertags when necessary.

Here comes my view of the show.

Globen was filled to the last seat. The expectations were high. And as soon as the introtape started to play the hall got filled with the screams of 15 000 Maidenfans.

The mixing guy had more or less gotten the sound perfected when “Different World” started. Bruce couldn’t stand still as usual and the band really seemed to enjoy themself. When they played “Brighter Than A Thousand Suns” the crowd went nuts. Bruce did hit most of the notes perfect, but at some points he really had to struggle.

After “Brighter Than A Thousand Suns” Bruce informed us that there would be no free sandbags this time (the day before, bruce had tripped on them and threw them to the crowd). “Instead, we do have some more songs” he said. When he had come to “Out Of The Shadows” he told us to use our lighters. And so we did (well I didn’t , because I didn’t have one me). After that song were done it was time for “The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg”. Now, we didn’t scream “booou” or something, but instead it went quite quiet when Dave startet to play the intro. But when the verse riff started the crowd went back to its normal behaviour (insane screaming).

During “For The Greater Good Of God” Bruce got hold of one of the searchlights which he put on the audiance. He wanted the part of the crowd he had the light on to scream, and minutes after that, he screamed the now alltime classic “scream for me Sweden”. And did we scream? Yes.

Unfortunantly, Adrian messed up the riff at 1:42 on “Lord Of Light” and Bruce’s vocals weren’t the best on that song, but it was alright.

When it was time for “Fear Of The Dark”, the place were boiling, literaly speaking. Bruce did a great vocal performance on this one, but I didn’t hear the solo’s too well.

“Hallowed Be Thy Name” was one of the best performances I’ve heard of the song, and Bruce did his thing with his monitors and waved. He had totally crowdcontrol and the screams from the audiance must have been heard all the way to Perun’s house.

When the song was done and the band went off stage, they dropped the lights as if it was a secong encore, and left us all chanting “Maiden! Maiden”.

At one time, I don’t remember which song, Jann and Adrian almost ran into each other. I tell you, it was really close. And during another song, I couldn’t hear Adrian soloing at all. Well the mixing guy is forgiven though.

This was my first concert with Maiden, and I’m really pleased. Although, I didn’t manage to get a standingticket, I got great seats. I'll for sure never forget my first show with Maiden.

I was a globen 17/11. Standing maybe 4 meter from the stage.
