"1 new message" when there are really none

I have a slight problem with the PM systen. I haven't been here for quite a while and now it claims I have 1 new message, but there are NO messages at all in my inbox or outbox. I even pruned my messages to make sure something wasn't hidden away. It's still telling me I have 1 message and keeps asking me to read it whenever I log on.

Is there a fix for this?

Sorry, I've never heard of this problem before - so I don't know what's causing it, or how to fix it. If we can think of anything, we'll post it here.

For some reason it's 0 messages now. Problem solved itself I guess

I ran a few of the board's maintenance scripts earlier to see if I could fix this problem - glad it seems to have worked.
