  1. The Red and the Black

    The Future Past Tour 2024

Because going to concerts for big-name bands has become VERY expensive in the US, and significant inflation of food and gasoline prices has made people cut back their entertainment spending a lot.

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

Maiden's new albums will still sell well worldwide. They're not in the same situation as some of those other legacy bands. Some bands don't make new albums because they can no longer make money from them. Maiden still makes good money from new albums. Plus they sell lots of concert tickets...

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

The Book of Souls tour had the benefit of being the first tour after Bruce’s illness, when we didn’t know if we’d ever see Maiden again. I was at the 2016 Madison Square Garden show. The entire place was so emotionally charged. The whole concert was like a release of pure joy. One guy next...

Not a beer drinker, but I do like a good dry red wine. If this ever comes to the US, I'll buy a couple of bottles.

    The Future Past Tour 2024

Those are better songs, and I would love to hear them again, but To Tame a Land hasn't been played since 1983, and it's also a great song. I'd prefer it but will be thrilled to hear any of them.

EPICS TOUR. EPICS TOUR! EPICS TOUR!!!

    The Future Past Tour 2024

Yes! The Time Machine is my least favorite song on Senjutsu. (It's not bad in spots, it just jumps all over the place and lacks cohesion, in my opinion.) Would love to hear To Tame a Land live.

British Empire Trooper Eddie is bad enough. There were few, if any, entities that committed more atrocities and did more evil than the British Empire.
  9. The Red and the Black

    Bruce Dickinson

I’m glad I’m not in your world, then. Beautiful haunting vocals by Bruce, great lyrics, soaring guitar from Janick. A Maiden classic and their best ballad.

Wasting Love is a great song.

    The Future Past Tour 2024

They settled those legal issues, though. I think they're clear to play Hallowed and Nomad now.

    Bruce Dickinson

For me it was a comeback album. I was thrown off by No Prayer for the Dying after the great epic 80s albums. (No Prayer has grown on me over the years.) With Fear, I felt this new line-up was coming into its own and had found its own sound and identity, which resonated with me. And then...

I respect that, but I love every song on that album. It's a top 3 Maiden album for me. I understand why people don't like it because it's not a pure metal album; it's a hybrid hard rock-metal album, but it worked for me.

    The Future Past Tour 2024

If Maiden isn't going to do a new album tour in 2025, I hope they do something radical and wild for the hardcore fans like an "epics tour". They could play Alexander, Rime, Seventh Son, Dune, Hallowed, Phantom, Sign, and some reunion era epics they haven't played like Parchment and Nomad.

None of the songs of Fear of the Dark suck. It's a great album that was appropriate for the time.

Fear of the Dark is many things, but sucked isn't one of them.

    The Future Past Tour 2024

Assuming 2025 is a new tour (legacy or new album) and not a 3rd leg of Future Past, will they keep Alexander in the set list so that Greece can finally hear it?

    Bruce Dickinson

I really didn’t like the album after my first couple of listens. It just wasn’t the style I wanted or expected. After setting it aside for a few days, I gave it another listen today, and it started to click with me. Bruce’s vocals are outstanding on the album, in my opinion. And Sonata might...
  19. The Red and the Black

    Bruce Dickinson

Eternity Has Failed is my favorite song on this album. I dig the slow heavy pace and the new lyrics. My favorite version of the song, though, is the fast live version on Live Chapter. Otherwise, only Shadow of the Gods sounds like what I was expecting and wanting from this album. Don't think...

Damn, fingers are stuck in the wounds in my head.
