Probably because the studio version doesn’t have a rhythm track there either in that particular case, so nothing is missing. I’m not suggesting adding stuff that was wasn’t there in the first place, just not losing parts that no longer need to be lost.

Yes, but in a live setting instead of having one person play rhythm while the other two play the harmonies, they often add an extra octave harmony and still leave the rhythm playing out. I mean, WTF?

Unfortunately, John Woo’s return to Hollywood was not an artistic return to form. Poorly paced, overly melodramatic, and mostly anemic in the action department, even after things finally get going in the third act. Probably still better than Paycheck, but not by much.

Bruce’s solo U.S. tour will eat up a large block of that time.

This one’s fairly close for me, but TFF is a little bit stronger overall, mostly due to its much better back half.

I thought Roy was well along or done with BTP as well, but it seems like he got the boot there, which also made me wonder about Skunkworks.

Title track of the new Ellefson-Soto album. The lyrics are trite, but otherwise it’s pretty good.

I like the sound of Skunkworks in general, but there’s a very treble-y lean to it that would be interesting to hear evened out. The low end is already very punchy, but the high and mid range aren’t ideal.

It sure looks like Roy got booted off the remix project. I wonder what this means for the Skunkworks remix…?

So far I am 100% on board with these heavier, fuller remixes. “Cyclops” finally sounds like the monster track it always had the potential to be.
