Legs, unless I could learn to jerk off with my feet.

    The Alchemist

The funny part of this observation is that the "characters" are actually real people.    Nothing random about it.   Very old school Maiden track.  It's been my grower.  Love the storytelling aspect of these lyrics.

    Isle of Avalon

Those three are amongst my favorites.

    On repetitive choruses

It becomes an excuse to "not like" the newer material.  There's a huge apologist contingent with fickle old school-only Maiden fans.

    Blood on the World's Hands

Re: 'Blood On The World's Hands' I'm not at ALL a fan of the BB era (or the singer either), but this is probably my favorite Bayley-sung song.  Fine song in general and great performance.  It's one of about 3 BB songs I can actually listen to without being-filtered through the Dickinson reunion...

    Starblind

Agruably the best song on the album.

Bravo!!  Your take on The Talisman lacks a score, however.  ;)

    Piece Of Mind or Powerslave

    POM, marginally.

Pick 14 songs from BNW to TFF

...to be on a "best of 21st century Maiden" hits album. Only rule is you must select at least TWO from each album...and no more than 14 tracks. Pick...!  (doesn't have to be a particular order, just the 14 best from the past four albums)

    The Alchemist

I agree.  Either Powerslave or Piece Of Mind.  Definitely has more classic Maiden era sound to me as well.  I don't hear 90s IM in this one.

    The Talisman

Yes, it has.  It's the only moment where he's harmonizing his lead vocal track.  I suppose if I have any nitpick about this era it's that a few more harmonies wouldn't hurt.  It's minor, but it's a bit of a flourish I miss.  I'd also throw a bit more echo on Dickinson's vocals.  I understand...

The Man Who Would Be King

It's up there for me as well.  I'm not getting the "I'm not getting that one yet" comments.  (I mean, I get it...but it doesn't make complete sense to me as I think it's pretty awesome).  ;)

    Satellite 15.. The Final Frontier

Re: Satellite 15....The Final Frontier It really does.  And I think the Satellite 15 intro juxtaposed with the simplicity of TFF (song) is perfect.  It would've been too laden with heft had that intro gone into an epic.  That it serves a meat and potatoes, in-fourth-gear type of a song is...

    The Final Frontier Reviews Thread

Not to sound like a gushing fanboy here, but after about 9 listens now I can't even isolate a favorite song anymore, nor can I a least favorite....(at the risk of getting a sheep label).  Being honest here.  On AMOLAD I knew I liked The Pilgrim the least -- though I enjoy that song -- and it's...

    Coming Home

    Agree.  I love this line.

    The Alchemist

This song sounds like it could've fit nicely on POM or Powerslave to me, just sonically speaking.

Re: Official thread for Final Frontier discussion (Spoilers inside) Those are two of my top 3 I'd reckon at this point.  You're in my minority at least.  ;) Thanks for such a thoughful and enjoyable write up.
