Ah yes. The whole you’re triggered thing while writing some long-winded post being triggered because Maiden doesn’t do what you think they should. I hate to break this to you but there is no perfect setlist for us Maiden nerds. This is a concert for everyone. What generation are we on now?

I’m glad Maiden doesn’t do this. I want to hear some of these songs I’ve never heard live before. I don’t have to worry when they come to the U.S. Seventh Son and Rime are switched out. Having a static setlist sets expectations.

I’m not disappointed that Back In The Village, Sun and Steel, etc., etc is not being played. This is all based off the Metallica / Maiden comparison. Like I’m supposed to be blown away that Metallica decided to play 32 different songs stretched over two nights and because they do it, Maiden...

32 songs divided into two nights. So what? And how many of those songs are “deep cuts”?

Let's not pretend Metallica is out there playing all of these deep cuts themselves. Their setlist screams of classics for casuals and they completely ignore St Anger.

The more I watch these Budapest videos the more I like the Simon setup. I like the transparency of seeing the drummer actually drum. No offense to Nicko but the dude played behind a wall.

The way I see it I’ll get to hear a lot of these songs for the first time in person. Phantom, Seventh Son, Rime, Mogue, Killers, Powerslave, etc. I’m excited.

I don’t care that there is nothing from NPFTD. That record sucks my balls.

It’s going to take a while to get used to a drum set that is half the size of Nicko’s but I think it’s really cool.

I said in another post that this tour was unnecessary. That was short sighted as I was still coming off the high of the Future Past tour. Now I’m stoked. Once the U.S. dates are announced I’m getting tickets.

Fear Of The Dark and The Trooper. They're classic. They're great. But man I would be OK if I never heard them played live ever again. I honestly hope they keep them away from the RFYL tour.

The only reason I own the record is because it's Maiden. Other than that I never listen to it. I almost forget it exists. Looking back it says alot about the band that they even survived the 90's. This, Fear, X Factor and Virtual XI are average at best.

It's SiT and Powerslave for me. I never liked the tone on Fear Of The Dark. It feels muddy.

I don’t get why anyone has an issue with this selection. The band has always picked replacements that are at arms length.

I was dead set on the idea they switch out Celts with The Parchment but after seeing the show, I couldn't have been more wrong. I love The Parchment but in the context of the show, it would have slowed things down a little too much. Celts has a fatser pace and more moving parts. It was perfect here.

This was still my favorite setlist they ever put together. I really hope a live album comes out of it. That would be great.
