Maiden's tours are usually planned way in advance, altough final details and some dates could be subject to change until last minute (that's why some shows gets announced later or never, like Pula).
They're taking a break in 2027 indeed. Aside from the fact people in the know have no knowledge...
I mean, what can I say? Believe what you want, keep asking yourself "why knebworth? why they don't add more bands?" all day and we'll all be happy.
Should we close this thread anyway? There hasn't been rumors and speculations since the last announcement and it's highly unlikely we'll get one...
It does if the one paying is a well established promoter with an insane amount of money available (talking about Live Nation here) and the other is just a band.
Calling all those big bands would be financially impossible for a band, which has to pay for everything else already. Also, how many...
This one is one of the letdown for me. Capacity for the past edition was close to 12k. This time it's surely bigger but still, a long way from selling out the Madrid stadium in hours. But being in such a "remote" place I think it's okay
I just wanted to let people know that some good tickets have been released for Athens then somebody has read too much into that.
- Amsterdam selling out in 5 minutes is probably the biggest surprise, considering it always takes months to do so (well, the two times they played there in the past...
I was talking about "recent" ones. But good question: I don't know if those were actually sold out (tbh back in the day you could just fill every venue with whatever amount of people you wanted, there weren't much safety restrictions)
"Yeah don't mind the official numbers sent in by the promoters to the one organization which collects data from every event worldwide, I'll just say a random number that I have in mind perfectly knowing that I don't even know what the capacities for each section are, what's been put on sale...
It's selling poorly indeed but Planet Rock has always talked about Maiden's shows.
Let's not forget that 2018 was the first year when they were able to sell out every date of the UK tour (only a year prior they had a negative record in Sheffield) and that their festival appearances (aside from...
I have the numbers from the first day of sales to now, so...
And yet you say that GA is sold out. That alone would be close to 35k. So either you have the wrong info or you assume they haven't sold a single seat.
Why soon? Tour is starting in more than a month and it will probably take another...
If you say so (well, if you consider 29/30k close to 35k then yes).
Not a chance in the world. Even Metallica had to wait more than a decade to do that turnout.
Maiden biggest headline show is 69k. Maiden's record in Greece is Rockwave 2018 and it was 40/45k. Even if somehow they could surpass...
Never say they weren't.
Unless they put loads and loads of those 50€ tickets on sale, not a chance. Most likely they will get close to 35k, maybe even more.
Some were interested, always nice to let people know when they can get new good (and cheap) tickets.
Not in an hundred years.
It's nothing new. It's a common tactic used by many promoter. That GA is also immense, btw. Way bigger than Ullevi, and that's around 30k. If it was sold out for good sales for Athens would be over 50k
To sell other sectors.
Probably close to 30k. They removed some blocks of tickets here and there since the only tickets selling are those at 50€. Rest is basically the same as months ago.
