Went as expectable as possible on the hits and 100% debut on the other five.

Mmmm surprisingly easy:
Montségur
Be Quick Or Be Dead
Man On The Edge
Judgement Day
Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter
Honorable mentions to Tailgunner, The Wicker Man, Futureal, Stratego and The Final Frontier. If it was 10, I think these would my remaining picks
#5 - The Angel And The Gambler
#4 - Age Of Innocence
#3 - From Here To Eternity
#2 - Wasting Love
... and without shadow of doubt at dead last:
#1 - Fear Is The Key
Iron Maiden to Seventh Son. :D Now seriously... if I had to pick 3 it would be their last three from the 80's. Pity it isn't four, so I could add Piece Of Mind.
Two great songs, hard pick. When it comes to cons (minor details but since it's a close call...), The Wicker Man has the blatant rip off of Running Wild. On the other hand, 2MTM's initial riff is a tad bit too generic. Hey, don't get me wrong: once the bass makes the first doodle and the vocals...
You must be nuts indeed... AMOLAD is a monster of an album and I love it. But... compared with SEVENTH SON???? Nah. Not that it's miles away but still Seventh Son IMO is a different league.
Not the worst but the least brilliant: IMO it's their debut. And to make one thing clear: Not only do I think this is an album with zero fillers, it features one of my top 10 Maiden songs in Phantom Of The Opera. The Number Of The Beast is a close second place.
But then again filler material...
If I was to order all songs from these four albums in a Tier list regarding my preferences, it would be something along these lines:
Tier S (masterpieces)
Sign Of The Cross
Man On The Edge
Tier A (excellent)
Tailgunner
Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter
Be Quick Or Be Dead
Afraid To Shoot...
Agreed, yet when it comes to repetition, it's not that much of a difference IMO. It's true it doesn't feature any TAATG or DLTTEOAS... but there are some tracks that go full Nascar effect, especially Dream Of Mirrors, the title track. And yup... Let's not mention plagiarism because there's not...
