    The Concert Thread

I think you're right about the set list. I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, "Argus" is one of my favourite albums of all-time, and it would have been great to hear it from start to finish. On the other hand, looking at setlist.fm, the first six songs from those shows are underwhelming...

Rate the Senjutsu songs in terms of difficulty to play them live

Of the six songs I can (more or less) play, from the bass guitar's perspective: "Death of the Celts" - easily the toughest. Part of the challenge is physically changing instruments mid-song (acoustic to electric), and there's a lot of tricky riffs throughout. The bass is the lead instrument for...

Has anyone seen Wishbone Ash on their current tour? I'm thinking of making the 2 hr drive to Buffalo to see them in March. It looks like they're still playing "Argus" in its entirety.

    The Future Past tour 2023

I'm fairly sure it's an acoustic bass for the intro of Hell on Earth, but definitely not on The Parchment (just strumming power chords).

Here's the final post on this topic (I promise). Set list stats (reunion era - 1999 to 2022)

Underneath the "spoiler" tag is a complete list of the 82 songs the band has played live during the reunion era: For the most part, there are few surprises. "Iron Maiden" has been played during literally every show. "The Number of the Beast", "The Trooper", and "Fear of the Dark" have all...

Set list stats (reunion era - 1999 to 2022)

I was curious about which songs the band has played live during the "reunion" era (1999 to 2022). I got the data from setlist.fm. I made a few small changes for obvious errors (for example, that site is showing that "Wildest Dreams" was played 90 times in 2003, but every other song was played 89...

What isolated track of any Maiden song would interest you the most?

It would be great to hear the isolated bass from "To Tame A Land" (which is, in my opinion, Harris's most challenging & interesting performance). Thanks in advance if that's possible.

    Great, thanks very much.

    The Future Past tour 2023

Has anyone been able to find the link for the Ljubljana show? I'm thinking about getting up at 4AM (Toronto time) to buy tickets.

    The Future Past tour 2023

Here's what I think would happen: Harris - when he's done, the band is done (obviously) Dickinson - I don't think that Dickinson and Maiden are synonymous, and I like the four albums with Di'Anno and Bayley. But at this point, I can't imagine how the band would continue without him McBrain - I...

LEGACY OF THE BEAST WORLD TOUR 2022 - **CONTAINS SPOILERS**

Tomorrow night is the final show of the Legacy of the Beast tour. Obviously we don't know all of the band's future plans, but I wonder how many of these songs will never again be played live? I'd imagine that tomorrow would be the last time they play "Sign of the Cross" and "The Clansman". I...

Enjoy the show. "Argus" is one of the greatest albums of all-time. Wishbone Ash's first five albums were great, but this was their peak. And (as I'm sure you know) it had a huge influence on the development of Iron Maiden's sound. I'm hoping they bring the tour to Ontario (Canada) at some point.

LEGACY OF THE BEAST WORLD TOUR 2022 - **CONTAINS SPOILERS**

I was at the Hamilton show last night. It was a great concert (how could it not be?), but I enjoyed the Toronto show a lot more. That's probably due to my tickets (I was at the barrier on Tuesday, and had a seat yesterday - and although it was a really good seat, it just wasn't the same...

LEGACY OF THE BEAST WORLD TOUR 2022 - **CONTAINS SPOILERS**

Just got home from the Toronto show. It was my 7th time seeing the band, and perhaps my best concert experience so far. I won first to the barrier (but was towards the back of that group). I ended up getting 2nd row, to the right of centre. Janick was there 90% of the time, and Harris was there...
