Re: The 2nd Greatest Band of All Time R1 Group F Deep Purple, Dio and Led Zepp are some of my all-time favourite groups. LZ especially has my all-time favourite song of any band. But I voted Deep Purple because I felt it would get the least votes of the three. And it did.

It looked difficult when I saw Remember Tomorrow, Rainmaker and the almighty Revelations (one of my all-time favourites), but then I remembered my favourite song was on this list. And the wedding guest's a sad and wiser man And the tale goes on and on and on and on.

If Paschendale wasn't there, then this would be difficult.

For instance I really love Quest For Fire. It may be one of the weaker POM tracks, but man that last note that Bruce holds out ("discover of maaaaaan!") gets me every time. Now that's resonance.

Coming Home is brilliant. The lyrics and the way Bruce sings makes it such an emotional track, it's incredibly catchy and has some great Adrian moments. Unlike OOTS, I really loved this track upon first listen.

Even though I prefer TLD and LOL, I selected TLOTLDR because I thought it wouldn't be in the lead. I made a mistake. I mean, I voted HOOKS IN YOU.
