Every band of a certain age starts to say they'll bring out EPs or a handful of singles etc. Just do an album or to be honest don't bother. It's the format fans are used to and where Maiden shine. I'd not be happy with a video for a year

80s, 90s and post reunion if you were to do it again, unless you really weant to shrink a best of down to be about an hour ish total as to not overwhelm
As far as a primer for newbies, which greatest hits really should be IMO. I think the best of the beast is really solid and goes across all the singers(on the limited edition expanded version anyway)
It's always interesting seeing sales for these smaller more niche labels. I imagine the label were quite happy with the sales on TXF. Nowadays on these smaller niche metal labels they'd throw you a party with a big cake if you sold over 100k
