Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

No, you misunderstand me. I said, 'This version is almost as bad as the Bayley performance from the South American leg in 1996,' meaning that this is the poorest performance of 'The Trooper' by Iron Maiden since 1996. It wasn't because of Nicko back then; it was because of Blaze!

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

Well, how about you showing me a version of CSIT or Trooper from 2023 that isn't absolute trash then?

    The Future Past Tour 2024

Double the amount and that is how I survived each of the four shows I saw in 1998.

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

No one expects him to play like he did 30 years ago. As a musician, I've always found listening to Metallica frustrating because of Lars. I quickly moved on to Slayer and Megadeth, and I'm sure I would have enjoyed Metallica more if they had a technically proficient drummer. Iron Maiden, for...

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

I'm not sure if you're a musician, but I believe playing with Nicko has become challenging at this point. A prime example of this is the clip where Adrian becomes visibly frustrated during Wasted Years:

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

I believe he is exceptional on a technical level. On a more personal level, I think the band would benefit from someone who understands the inner workings of Iron Maiden. Joe's father, Steve Lazarus (who, if I'm not mistaken, is Steve Harris's brother), ran the official fan club for about 20...

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

I recently listened to some of Titanium Tart’s performances from last week. Before the news about the stroke emerged, people were commenting that The Trooper sounded really off. I was hoping it would improve in the 2024 performances, but it still sounds rough: This version is almost as bad as...

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

While it's true that they are all past the retirement age of 65 and might prefer to keep things as they are, other bands like Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, and Yes have produced great studio work well into their late 70s with the help of newer band members. Simon McBride, Ritchie...

How do you like Dennis Strattons impact on Maiden?

I'd be fine with them giving Dennis some room for songwriting and arrangements on the first or second album. He had some great songs on Lionheart's Hot Tonight album back in 1984.

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

I'm surprised to see Maiden go to such lengths to keep their lineup intact. Lackluster performances led to the departures of both Blaze and Paul. The difference in performance since 2022 is staggering, and I would understand if the band decided to bring in a new drummer. The post-1999 lineup is...

    Accept

Considering 'Firepower' as the paramount metal album of 2010-2019? The studio output from the Faulkner era barely surpass that of the Ripper Owens era. TBOS has some great songs, but is far from as consistent as BOTN.

    What would you pick? :)

    Judas Priest

Exciting setlist! Although somewhat safe, they should do more IS tracks. Andy has really grown into the role image vice. The Faulkner/Sneap combo is working much better than it did during Firepower tour! Would be cool to have a live album from this version of Priest.

    Accept

Humanoid must be the first Accept single that features three distinct guitar tracks? Probably the best metal album of that decade.

Circle of Stone vs The Mandrake Project

For me the singles from Blaze (Circle of Stone -> Rage -> Mind Reader) were much stronger than the Bruce Singles (Afterglow - > Rain) and this theme has stayed after listening to both albums. I also prefer the CoS production. Circle of Stone is my preferred album! Will be exciting to see Blaze...

Circle of Stone vs The Mandrake Project

Since we are reaching the release date of Circle of Stone and The Mandrake Project (and alot of people on this forum seems to have heard both already) I thought it would be interesting to see which album people prefer.
