I like The Fugitive a lot. The acoustic intro and solo in the song is really cool. There is a heavyness and atmosphere in that song even though the main riff is quite simple
My least favorite reunion era album is TFF. I would place Senjutsu after BNW, DOD and AMOLAD. I liked Senjutsu more than BOS because i felt it's a lot more varied and overall, has a stronger set of songs. The title track of BOS is amazing though and only Parchment comes close to the epic feel of...
I think it would benefit the album if they record it soon after RFYL 2026 tour. The muscle memory of having played the classic catalogue might help them create more up tempo songs. Having Simon behind drums will also help inject more energy imo.
I saw them live for the Future past tour and as...
May be someone should whisper to Bruce that if recording a whole album is stressful for Steve then they could always release singles. One new song like TWOTW with a fresh video would keep the fans happy for a year.
17. Virtual XI
16. Iron Maiden
15. Killers
14. X Factor
13. No Prayer for the Dying
If the first 4 albums were sung by Bruce, i probably would have a different rating.
For someone like me who does not get to see Iron Maiden often (they never tour southeast asia), I very much appreciate seeing the classics like FOTD, aces high, number of the beast etc. I can understand it is boring for people who have seen maiden concerts dozens of times but there are many fans...
I still have faith they will do one more album
Bruce Dickinson (2023 interviews):
> "We never want to just live off the past. We’re always looking forward. As long as we feel we’ve got something to say musically, we’ll make new albums."
Steve Harris (Classic Rock Magazine, 2021):
> "We don’t...
I hope they do one more before they retire. Bruce, Steve and Adrian are still touring and making solo albums and so it's not a question of age just yet.
I think given that Senjutsu was recorded way back in 2019, all these guys must have written materials worth 10 new songs by now. Usually Adrian always brings advanced demos to the studio which are more or less ready to be recorded. Let's see what happens. I wouldn't have been as excited if Bruce...
Yeah couldn't agree more. I even used to complain about it here in the forum. A producer with a bit more balls would also edit these songs shorter by cutting repetition. But then I say to myself at least I am getting new maiden music.
Damn all those tour dates of British Lion and solo tour...
Good point, I think in terms of timeline of recording, late 2022 makes sense (before Nicko's health scare and start of future past tour). But indeed it is more likely that they are planning to record something once the 2025 leg of the tour ends in early August. Maiden usually records super fast...
Did you guys see the latest video from Bruce on the maiden youtube channel? Towards the end he says "we have lots of shows and more stuff i can't talk about because they would have to kill me" For me, this is what he usually says before a new album comes out, no? Thoughts?
