since when was Infinite Dreams a classic they play? Or the Clairvoyant for that matter? You mean "The Evil That Men Do"
I think they will drop 2M2M and Run to the Hills, maybe the trooper too. I think Hallowed will stay and as much as I'd love FOTD to be dropped, I don't see it happening. They...
There was a setlist.fm list I saw that looked pretty appealing and one thing that made me doubt it was the absence of Hallowed, Trooper and 2M2M. As delighted as I would be that they drop those 3 in favor of newer or deeper cuts, it seems unlikely to ditch all 3 of those tracks on one tour. The...
I'd rather them drop Iron maiden, Fear of the Dark, The Trooper or something. Hallowed was dropped one tour. I just would like to hear Still Life for once live and maybe get The Prisoner one more time...
In all honesty, I think they may have given a go at rehearsals of songs from SIT before the announcement. I know that album is difficult to pull off live and I would think they'd have tried before announcing a tour around it but who knows. Whatever songs they chose, I'm fine as it's my favorite...
said caught somewhere in time sounded like sh*t live which had my hopes for hearing it tank but back in 86, they only had 2 guitars when they needed 3 to pull it off right and now they have it.
Yup. They fully rehearsed it, according to Rod Smallwood. He said they chose Afraid to Shoot Strangers instead after Bruce "wasn't feeling it" with Infinite Dreams. Sad day when I heard that after the show. Rod ran into a small group of fans after the Atlanta gig and got quizzed. His answers...
I'm 95% positive that the following will be played
Wasted Years
Heaven Can Wait
Stranger in a Strange Land
Number of the Beast
Hallowed Be Thy Name
2 Minutes to Midnight
Iron Maiden
Fear of the Dark
The Evil That Men Do
The Trooper
Uncertainties but very desirable
Sea of Madness
Caught...
the number of references to Stranger in a Strange Land recently would suggest they will play that song. The artwork on the new shirt has a SIASL Eddie when the original work from 86 does not as seen below
for some reason, they play it slower; at least the intro and ending. I think it'll sound great if they use the original GK amps and play at normal speed like in 86. Sounded great then.
I am LOVING the tour shirts they released the other day and expect the event shirts to be simply amazing. SIT is my favorite and album, favorite Eddie and favorite album cover so I'll be burning money on merch this tour.... ugh
I really wish they would just drop their self titled song "Iron Maiden"... I know they feel obligated to play it but it's not a great song and takes up a slot in their set that a much better song could fit into.
I am anticipating 5 songs from each album listed. It would be blasphemy to play less than 5 from SIT given its absence over the years. I honestly would love them to pull a deep cut or 2 from more recent albums like they did on the Final Frontier tour... Maybe play Starblind for fvcks sake...
I really hope they are done with new albums. This coming tour will make them a lot of money. The merch alone with SIT Eddie on everything is a lot and I'll be one of those people blowing money on it all lol... I will likely go to several shows. Would love to go back to Europe and see one there...
I wouldn't want to see this show in an open-air venue. The SIT songs need that dark atmosphere that an arena offers. Certainly, if they open with CSIT or do ATG, a dark setting will set the tone. My beef with Maiden England was the first 2 shows I saw of the tour were outside venues. I went back...
