Maiden is making a slow but sure trek back to the top of the charts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Maiden finishing with a #1 chart position with this new album would be their first #1 since Fear of the Dark, right? Or is it No Prayer for the Dying, SSOASS?

Unfortunately you will see many of those idiots and supposed "long time Maiden fans" at the Metal Storm site, in the Final Frontier discussion/review section.

Rolling Stones Magazine may supposedly be for mainstream rock, but quite frankly I don't agree with you, as the title of this list is "500 Greatest Songs of All Time", I don't see any mention of mainstream rock in the title. Hell, even if Sabbath isn't for everyone, you'd expect to see songs...

Re: Satellite 15....The Final Frontier I absolutely love that really strange intro, Satellite 15. It's different from usual Maiden, but amazing in it's own unique way. I really love that bass opening at the beginning of the track, along with that strange guitar, as well. As for The Final...

I hope I have the time and commitment to this forum to make it that far. I'm one of the few, if only members from my "generation" to stay. That's a shame, really. I remember some really cool folks around the time I joined this forum  :( jmpoet, WhatsInAName just to name a few.

Thanks Per, that means a lot to me  :) Everything I said he that post I firmly stand by. As much as I enjoy Cobain's and Hammett's music, I strongly feel they don't belong in such a list, personally.

Maiden is definitely doing great sale-wise with this new album, in many countries  :)

I'm American, and I could fully admit that. "Clueless" may have been the wrong word, what I mean is that most people here in America have different taste, which mainly consists of pop music. I might have said "clueless" because I personally can't stand the pop trends here. Seeing Justin Bieber...

Well you have to admit, most people here in the States are pretty clueless, especially when it comes to music.

Surprisingly, Starblind is runner-up! Despite seeing rather negative comments directed at the track. I'm not complaining though, I personally would consider Starblind one of my favorites off of this album  :)
