Bruce's top 10 songs on Spotify. Tears of the Dragon is getting a lot of plays, but otherwise it's nothing compared to Maiden's top tracks in popularity.
I wonder if the next album can scale things up for him?
No, Blaze said that he recorded a demo of Blood Brothers in 1997 (and it was probably Steve's own recording). The Mercenary, Dream of Mirrors and The Nomad were the other tracks used. The Wicker Man on the other hand, was written by Adrian, Bruce and Steve in 1999.
Another version of that riff is also played during the verses and the solo in Futureal, which Steve wrote alone (while Blaze composed the vocal parts).
I actually think that part inspired Adrian, playing Futureal during the Ed Hunter Tour, and not the other tracks. :)
Then at his own shows this year, he played 10 songs from his current band, 4 songs from the BLAZE days, and just 2 Maiden tracks (Man on the Edge and Futureal), so it's not like he is turning into D'iAnno 2.0 fully...
At festivals it's the Maiden set now days usually. Perhaps that's what promoters are asking for. He has actually done a lot of festivals in recent years, and perhaps it's easier to get a gig if it's mainly an Iron Maiden set, and the money is probably decent. It's allowing him to pay his...
In the beginning I think all of them were positive:

Ghost of the Navigator
Brave New World
Dance of Death
These Colours Don't Run
The Final Frontier (but skip Satellite 15)
The Book of Souls.
Could add If Eternity Should Fail as well, but I think that's for a Bruce solo tour.
I think more famous metal bands like Megadeth can tour on their own now and therefore don't need Maiden these days, but in 1999 things were different. Also Dio had it rough back in 1998, and followed Maiden with Blaze around North America.
