Found this one with Janick as well. In 1995 before the album was released. But in the UK music magazines I think it was a lot of Steve, with Blaze assisting him.

He mentioned a few years ago that he received a "golden handshake" from the band when he was dismissed: https://www.loudersound.com/features/what-s-it-like-to-be-blaze-bayley This exit deal propably also included that they bought the rights to Dream of Mirrors (co-written with Janick and...

No, the Bowie Bond deal would still have happened and Bruce would have gone back for financial reasons: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/275760.stm Note that the date of the article is just before the announcement for the reunion was made. Money rules.

    The Writing On The Wall

Niklas Strömstedt, "Om" released in 1990 (he is a famous pop artist in Sweden). Did Adrian hear this track before composing "The Writing on the Wall"? Or more likely, is it is another track that is the inspiration for both songs? The only connection to Maiden that I can find is that Strömstedt...

    Bruce Dickinson

It is mentioned in "At the end of the day" book that it was Rio. The rest of the band went to the dressing room without Blaze, while he was standing by the side of the stage waiting for the Number of the Beast intro to kick in. I found this on youtube: It propably wasn't just issues with...

Many of the songs from The X Factor and Virtual XI were very welcomed by the audience back in 1998: Just listen to the crowd enthusiastically clapping along to Fortunes of War! Also Sign of the Cross, Man on the Edge, Futureal and The Clansman got a very good reception. But Don't look to the...

Don't Look to the Eyes of a Stranger didn't work out live in 1998 and I don't think Blaze want to force his band members to learn that track now.

I think Blaze isn't wrong then for saying that there was some monitor issues on The X Factour, as he sounded much better singing with the TV studio's equipment over the studio version, than live with the band.

Blaze singing over an instrumental backing track on Top of the Tops in 1995. He sounded good here!

Brave New World had some in places for the vocals, for sure. The Thin Line Between Love and Hate is an example. Would have been good for Blaze as well.

The middle section melody played by Dave in "When Two Worlds Collide" would have been cool on a Somewhere in Time track! Sounds very "Blade runner" :)

With a bit of guiding from a good producer, he is an excellent singer! He hasn't worked with a real producer since 2004 though (not in Maiden either). But an upcoming Andy Sneap brought the best out of Blaze back in the day. I believe that the track "Stare at the Sun" is his finest vocal...

The If Eternity Should Fail demo sounds like it was recorded over basic Superior drummer samples, but great to hear it. You can buy that program for like 300 euros: https://www.toontrack.com/product/superior-drummer-3/ I'm sure Bruce's version could have been stronger than Maiden's, if it had...
