Thank you for the good wishes. I've seen Paul comment on Iron Maiden videos, and it's his channel as you can see him play some guitar on videos he uploaded himself. That's a gorgeous golden disc, and a gorgeous guitar by the way.

Bill Sienkiewicz did the covers? He's followed Maiden for a long while on instagram, he's probably a fan. Even a high profile guy like him must've been fanboying over this.

It's not like Maiden have the most explosive personalities on stage, though. That's why Eddie exists: you are kinda supposed to look at him. Bruce is the only one that has something of a personality, but he kinda has to given that he's the frontman.

He's been active since the mid 80s, so it's not that far off.

For me it really felt they wanted to be a proper heavy metal band again after the string of albums released since Amolad. In my opinion it feels like they wanted more raw grit in their sound. Book of Souls wasn't this "loud". The whole atmosphere is reminiscent of Dance of Death.

Oh yeah, now I remember that the singer was also a massive letdown, imo. Steve really built BL to be more like a pub rock/metal band to shoot the shit with, so to speak (and now, as we know, to be something like an audition room for Maiden).

I wouldn't be that harsh. Brian Johnson should've retired yes. Angus cannot play like he was able to not that long ago (compare River Plate vs current gigs). Maiden still has its founding members, and while Nicko's loss is important, it's not a strike to the heart of the band like losing Malcolm...

All I know is that both Aces High and Run To The Hills might make a comeback. I listened to British Lion back when the first record came out and to be fair I was mostly disappointed by the poor production and sound quality of it more than anything else.

Nah, Bruce can probably get any guitarist to play with him for an album and tour. If anything, he could probably get Richie Faulkner in the studio or something like that.
